Too bad I live on the other side of the country. I suppose I will have to live vicariously thru others posts of the event.

I should be there John, as long as I get the time to wash my car between now and then.
PS: I think the new editor of the breeze will be carpooling with me.

The guest speaker from Nissan marketing did a good job talking about the marketing plan Nissan used for the 350Z. He showed us a movie (refer to my thread in the News/Rumours forum).
There were about 6 or 7 350Z's there.
It was interesting to see the reception that the long time members gave to all the talk about the 350Z. As you would guess, most of the club members are 240 through 300Z owners. As a new member of the club, and as a 350Z owner, I feel just a tad out of place. I mean, sitting beside me is Andy Flagg, the guy who just set two land speed records at Bonneville Salt Flats in his 1976 280Z 2+2!

These guys and gals are not new to the Z (like I am), and are not new to performance cars (like I am). But when they played the 350Z movie (again, refer to my other thread), they all applauded like crazy! They were watching the latest member of the Z family perform, and you could tell they were proud of their new relative.
As they learn more about the new 350Z, they are impressed. As I learn more about the older Z's, I am equally impressed, for I realize that without those earlier models, and without the enthusiast base that those cars created, my 350Z would not exist.
Join your local Z club people, or you are missing out on part of the great experience that is owning a Z
