After seeing some pics of this antenna on "another" forum, I decided to pick one up. I found it for $32 on eBay. I believe they usually sell for around $55. This guy was great to deal with and I had it in 3 days after doing the "Buy it now".

Let me know what you all think. Oh, and all that crap on the side of my Z is from a nasty rain storm I got caught in Saturday night.

Looks nice Frank. I think 2003z also has one. Is the antenna flexible at all ?

Yeah, it's flexible just like the stock one.

By the way, my parents live in Buford. They actually stopped by the Z meet down there a few weeks ago to check out "my car". I may be driving the Z down in the spring for a visit.

How cool. Buford is not a sleepy little town anymore. Let me know when you are going to be in town and we will set up a meet the the local Z people.
Glad to see you onboard here. I believe this will be a great site. We are off to a good start. Jeremy has done a SUPER job with the site.
What did your folks think of the Z. I showed mine to my mother and she said it was "CUTE". Not the reaction I was looking for. LOL :D :D :D

My folks moved down there from New Jersey about 6 years ago. I remember when they first came down, there was basically a Walmart, Kmart and a couple car dealers. I can't belive how built up it's got.

My parents loved the Z. My dad had a '76 280Z when I was a kid. He was actually the one who told me about the new Z. He was thinking about getting one at the time, but now he is thinking about another 280Z or Z32 TT.

I'd love to meet up with some of the Atlanta people when I come down. I'll keep you posted.

Frank, next time slap some Z-6 on that bad boy before posting pics! Otherwise, the Zaino gurus will be very disappointed!

Hey Bonz, it's got a few coats of Z-6 under all that crap. I just need to find a way to control the Chicago weather. :)

I just put a S2000 antenna (mast only) on the car, and it looks great! Cost like $15, and has about the same height as the Altezza.

I'll dig up the link (got it from that OTHER website), and try and post some pics...

I thought about getting the S2000 antenna, but I heard the base was a little bit too wide. Is this noticable? The JDM Altezza antenna fits like it was made for the Z.

Not to me it's not. You almost have to get down on the same level as the antenna base to see any difference. I didn't go with the Altezza because of the price (~50.00?) and all I had to do with this was unscrew the old and screw on the new. (Insert bad analogy here)...

Mike,

Have you noticed any difference in reception?

I've only noticed slightly worse reception on one low powered station I pull in from Wisconsin, that is tough to get anyway. The only time I listen to it is when I need a quick fix of 80's heavy metal, so not a big deal. :)

Actually, the only reason I haven't worked on removing the antenna completely is bcause my wife listens to the radio! The stations here in Atlanta are so bad that they are to the point of annoying...

I would think since the main contact is the same screw diameter, thread, etc, if should work about the same.

I choose S2000 antenna for the same reason ($50!) and it looks great...don't really notice the stock antenna till its gone you know....

The S2000 one is a little wider and has a duller finish, but this is only noticable under close inspection and still looks better than stock.
