I helped two of my friends ground thier knock sensor on their spec-v's. it seems this is a popular thing to do for the ser's. they say the car is more consitant and feels a little more responsive, does anybody know if this will help out the z? somebody mentioned grounding it for the dyno. any ideas?

It's under the intake manifold collector. I was looking at the ESM, but can't get a capture to attach. Don't quite know how we'd add a grounding cable to it, either.

Information on the knock sensor is in the EC section, page 297.

I'm trying to picture where it's located by your description. Is the knock sensor reachable from the outside of the engine?

No. You've got to take off the collector (read: plenum) to get to it, at least from the sketch I saw in the FSM.
