1. The g35c ati kit does not have a filter in front of the supercharger.
Instead, it has an inline k&n filter after the bottom tube of the
intercooler. That means air is sucked in unfiltered, pushed
through the intercooler, and then filtered before going to the
MAF. Does this sound like it's going to be a problem?!?

2. Also, the surge/bypass is going to atmosphere through a small
filter, unlike the Z which goes back into the filter area.

3. Finally, I'm trying to visualize how everything is going to
be installed and was wondering how the fuel line male/female
connector works. Can someone give a first hand explanation
of how to disconnect and then reconnect the fuel line...

thanks,
rob

1. I could only see it being a problem if you get a big hunk of something sucked into the compressor. Those blades are pretty fragile. Is it just an open pipe? Seems like they'd at least have a screen or something.

3. On the Z, there is a quick connector that goes from a metal fuel line to a rubber line that goes up to a pressure regulator or something that looks like one. Basically the aux fuel pump is inserted after the quick connector and before the pressure regulator. The quick connector has two tabs on it that need to be squeezed and then it pulls apart. Ensure that you have pulled the fuel pump fuse and started the engine and ran it until it stalls to release fuel pressure before you disconnect the quick connector.

I wonder why they've changed the setup. Maybe because there's not enough room behind the G35 bumper.

hi jesse,

1. yes, it has a screen in front of the opening. I think it's the
same screen I've seen pictures of from Z installs. The grid is
maybe a quarter of an inch in width/height. Big enough to
get debris in. Geez... what am I going to do??? I think they
did this because the g does not have an opening to push a
hose through (like the Z does)...

what to do???

3. ok, thanks, I was just worried because the package came
with a male/female connector but they don't join together
(I know they supposed to connect to the car but I was hoping
to learn connect/disconnect with them). I couldn't get them to
lock up. Maybe they only lock up to the connectors on the car?

thanks again,
rob
