Will my Tein Flex for my prior GS 400 fit on my Z?

Given how much new one's cost, I don't blame you for trying, but I highly doubt it. Bottom mounting points and systems are likely different as would be the length's of the dampener bodies and min and max dampener rod lengths (travel range). One could hold up the teins to the current suspension mounted on the car and do a quick visual flyby on some issues. And maybe a member has struts that are off the car for measurements. But really, I just don't see them fitting.

Nope.. Will not fit... the spring rates and the valving will be different. The length of travel in the shocks will be different as well as the mounting points...

Actually looking at the spring rates on tein web site, their not that much different from the original tein flex setup and their is nothing preventing anyone from just ordering a set of new springs to correct the rates. Tein coilovers springs sell for $165 each. And frankly both cars have simular weights so I wouldn't really worry about valving. And the Flex dampeners have adjustable dampening. In addition, just jumping from one brand to another brand in the aftermarket suspenson wise will net you different dampener valving, theirs all to much questionable thinkging going on, even in FM applications. In any event, doubt they'd fit, but they do warrant a looksee rather than a instant no.

One question I have is where is the location of the GS rear springs?
