Was hoping to get some input on the first mod that would be a "must have" for my "Z" outside the wheels/tires (Done did that). Should it be the ECU chip, borla exaust or...

best bang for the buck is the crawford intake manifold and strut bar.

What type of performance increase do I get with the intake?

9hp peak, 18 at redline according to the builder, I just know its the only mod I have made that I can actually really feel. The car got sideways the other day when I hit 2nd gear!

Re: 2003z response. "best bang for the buck is the crawford intake manifold and strut bar."
Ouestion: Would you consider the manifold mod a DIY project?

yes, its a do-it-yourself. probably take an hour total time, if that.
remove factory strut bar
remove engine cover
unbolt top of plenum (about 15-20 10mm bolts)
undo 3 hoses
remove throttle body (5mm hex wrench, 4 bolts)
place new manifold on and resecure it and throttle body
place new strut brace on
very well written instructions, with pictures, are included.

go to their support link and you can open the pdf instruction manual to check it out.
If you order one, tell them you are from my350z.com and they will charge 450 instead of 500, stb is another 200.
I got both of mine used from raceboy for $400.

lsdunique is coming out with a plenum of their own. It's gonna be plastic so it will help keep down heat soak. Might want to wait on their HP numbers. Probably within the next couple weeks.

Side ways in second gear...that is a true must have! I don't know if I will get sideways since I got the auto stick but I will try . Was wondering about the wing on your car, who made it, thing looks tough.
Thanks for the advice.
