Got the car back today. All I can say is wow. Not to loud. I can feel the kick between 2500 - 4000 rpm. Working on getting a camera to do sound clips and in cabin noise. Dyno in 2 weeks to break them in a little.

Took the Z up to our friends at Balanced Performance. I trust them with engine work.

I'm Droolin' over those headers! Hmmm....I wonder what my cost is on those? LOL. Yeah right! She would bounce off the walls! I'm still hearin' it about the seats!!! You are the nismo pimp!

:pimp:

What did nismo do change them? Was something wrong with the first ones? Noticeable difference huh? Me=:crybaby:

Stock headers where fine. But I wanted to open it up some more. And give the car more of growl. If you think that the Nismo Exhaust rumbles. Add some cats and headers and you have a monster on your hands.

Okay. Finally got around to getting a video done. First I want to thank jtree007(joseph) for the camera mount. If you dont have one get in touch with him a must have. Created this video on my new sony video camera :-). This is my first attempt so bare with me. I have 2 more videos for a different perspective(windows up vs windows down). This one I was able to pick up speed in and the windows were down. Enjoy.

Nismo R tune Headers/Random Tech Cats/ Nismo S tune exhaust/ Injen Intake.

Cool video! Looks like that truck wasn't to worried about you. I can't stand it when people do that.

Did I recall hearing correctly that the engine needs to be pulled to install the headers??? Someone please let me know if I'm right or am I just cracking up?

not necessarily pulled, but unmounted and lifted a little with a floor jack, at the least.

I have heard of some not lifting the engine and getting the headers installed over a couple day period (!!!), but the most efficient way is to disconnect the engine mounts and lift engine 5-7". I had CrawfordZ install the headers & cats and that's exactly what they did. Took about 6 hours total. I'm just glad I live fairly close to Nashville - took a roadtrip down & had it done.

NSANY & Friends:

If you are interested in Headers & installing them yourself (with a friend of course :D) then you may find the Header Install Manual that Peptidbond & I posted over @ my350Z. If you don't have access to the "evil" site PM me with your e-mail address & I'll make sure that you get a copy.

I installed the NISMO headers without unmounting or lifting the engine. I did have to unbolt the steering shaft and the radiator piping. It took me 8 hrs to install. I can probably do it again with help in 6 hrs or less.

It's not necessary to pull or even raise the engine to install the NISMO headers -- a fact that even amazed my local Nissan service department mechanics. You do have to disconnect about everything on either side of the engine on the top side. Having a lift would be nice, but you can do it with the Z up on jackstands. My son and I did it by ourselves. You do have to have a little patience and ingenuity (and lots of swivels and extensions), but it can be done. Want to know how? Take a trip to http://zchickz.com and click on the Garage link at the top. I do have a warning on NISMO headers -- they are perilously close to the fuel lines on the passenger side -- I did a lot of heat shielding in that area (I would also check that any professional installer did proper heat shielding as well).

Sound??? ProCharger + NISMO headers + RT High-Flows + Borla True Dual = One incredibly wicked sounding Z car at WOT. She is one growling beast! :D :D :D
