Yes, I realize they are illegal, however, I'm looking for anyone out there who is willing to admit that they've installed them. I've been looking at the Helix straight pipes and the Kenetix pipes with resonators. If you've installed them, have you seen any change in sound/performance? Thanks guys.

I have the kinetix test pipes with resonator. I love them. Sound great/performance, you could tell there was added HP. They are a pain to install and I own a lift. Reduced alot of weight. Now the service engine light did come after a little bit of driving. Don't let this get to you though. Everthing checks out fine, so don't bother getting it check. Just also contact casperelectroics.com they have a simple fix for about 30.00 bucks. It's a o2 simulator, it just tricks the ECU. But I would definatly go with a resonator. The other seem to be too loud to everybody I talk to. Be prepeared to unbolt the exhaust and slid it back.

I have use them before on my maxima. It it mada a great deal of a difference. Also I have used the o2 simulator and it only takes 30 minutes to install and its maintance free and you can hide it under you engine cover. Right now i'm looking into getting test pipes for my Z. If i happen to get them before you or install them...etc. I will post up the install of the test pipes and the o2 simulator. I personally have done this with all my cars. Just put the cats back on every 5 years for smog.

What the o2 simulator does is reads and memorizes the o2 reading from the farthest of the o2's and simulates that reading to the remaining o2's that are not on the car so that i ECU identifies that all o2's are connected and running fine.

I been running APS test pipes on my Z for about 3 weeks now. For the first week it felt sluggish. Like it lost alot of power. After the 3rd week as soon as it hit 3k it took off strong.
Now i feel like i should tune on the pipes.

I have AAM spec 2.5" test pipes. More aggressive throttier sound outside, raspier from the interior of the car. Gains weren't too noticeable

Will this o2 simulator work on a 06? I am running Turbo XS test pipe, and I have no complaints (except for the check engine light).

O2 sims are universal I believe, just don't be fooled by people calling non-foulers O2 simulators
