Here's the short of it.

Dealer installed 2 new Bridgestones (stock) at 7400 miles. At 9600 miles they are feathered again and making noise. I informed the tech writer of the TSB and the two updates. Also the right front compression rod has already been replaced.

They will probably order 2 more tires and align. Is there a tire recommendation other than the RE040's ? If so, I want to tell him now to order those instead of the stock ones.

Thanks,

Steve

Any input on this? I'm having my tires replaced tomorrow (14k miles). Also, what will the compression rod do for me? Is this something I should ask them about?

I haven't gotten a difinitive answer on the tires but I think I remember seeing a post over at www.my350z.com stating that the tires with a wider outside block seem to do better and not feather as much. Not sure.

The right front compression rod is to fix an alignment problem, pulling to the right. There is a TSB on this too, the dealer can look it up. If your car is not pulling to the right I wouldn't bother with this one.

The S03's are supposedly better and will feather much slower if at all but good luck getting your dealer to give you those. As a rule, they usually will only give you the OEM tires if any.
