View Full Version : Alignment shop recommendation in Atlanta?

Can anyone recommend a shop in the Atlanta to get a "good" alignment? Don't trust my dealer (Peachtree Nissan), since they never seem to get anything right on my truck. The TSB's issued by Nissan have me worried about picking a shop as well as the shop having the "correct" specs to use.
... Has a consensus even been arrived at as to how the Z should be aligned?

i do all my wheel, tire, brake, and alignment and everything else through Bulter Tire. i usually go through the one in Alpharetta and deal with the manager Craig up there. they really know their stuff and are easy to work with. there's four of five other locations around atlanta i think, but the number for the alpharetta location is 678-893-0502 or check them out online at www.butlertire.com

I've found out the hard way not to just take it to just anyone. The best way to find out is from a forum member who has had experience with a particular shop(like the post above) or to call a tuner shop and see if they have someone that they use or refer people to. I will say stay away from Firestone if your vehicle is lowered.

Stay away from Butler. They are ****ing idiots. They scratched the finish off my wheels around each rim and one of my front tires leaks 5-8 lbs of air a week and went back for them to fix and they didn't/ couldn't. They said I needed a brake job. I ordered new pads and had them resurface my spare rotors and install them. I asked for them to give me my old pads back to discover they had more than half of their life remaining. They charged me $1100 total for BFG KDWs installed, which would have cost $850-900 elsewhere and their work was worse...I didn't mind paying more because I figured they would pamper customer's cars.

but I have the feeling the OP won't take your advice any how...seeing as how he asked 3 and a half years ago.

Alpharetta. I went to the Buford Hwy one with my old car and they were pretty bad too.

that sucks. i hate it when i finally break down and take my car in to someone else for work and they mess it up. since when is it ok not to respect someone else's ride? especially when you work on them for a living?

I had my alignment done at Nalley Infiniti, really nice place but the alignment is a grumpy old man. If you go there talk to Darren Thomas (770-281-8606) he is a service consultant and is very cool, he even complimented me on my car.

I use "America's Best Automotive:, 520 S Main St. Alpharetta GA 30004 770-442-8883

Schedule to have Dean Hendrikse (the owner) do your alignment, he is the best. He has other guys working for him, but I don't recommend they do your car...they are about as good as the other shops, kinda a hit-or-miss deal.
He can do stock or customer alignments, it's your call.
He just did my 350Z!

I just took my car to Butler. Craig does a great job. I like the guys in Doraville the best.
