I have a "Z Comfort Rest" in my center console to protect my elbow, and I find that I simply can't live without it. The problem is that the thing is huge, and I can't seem to figure out how to mount it securely. Velcro melts every summer in the ridiculous heat out here (I live in Phoenix). So when I saw this version below, I became very interested. I saw it on this site somewhere, next to a url for "zrest.com". The thread was old however, and this Website no longer seems to have anything like it. Any leads on where I can find this product would be helpful.

Thanks.

That specific model was the proto type that he developed, and later took the arms off, to make just the pad. They sell just the pad at Courtesy, but the one with the arms to overhang the side never went into wide production, There may be a few in cars, but none for sale that I know of .

Sorry.

Thanks for the reply. That's too bad; since the one that Courtesy sells now would also have to be mounted with Velcro, which would give me the same headache I have now. I am going to discuss another option with my audio installer, possibly using some snaps to secure my current Z rest. I sure wish someone would make that one in the photo!

Thanks again.

I make and sell the ZREST. I have come out with a new design that is larger then my original. It also uses elastic straps to attach to the storage lid, no more velcro. I have not update my site yet (www.thezrest.com) but here is an eBay listing for it.

How do you open the center console without removing it? Is that possible?

There is enough give to be able to reach your finger under it and push the button to opne the lid.

I have Grey Matter's first edition of the Z-rest and I like it a lot. It doesn't attach to anything though. No velcro. No Straps. You can just lift it up and move it. I can tend to slide a little but when your arm is on it, there is no problem. The one I have is much thicker (i.e. more padding) than the one in this picture in the post above.

I have the larger first model also and I love mine. Took a day of so to get use to driving with it but it was not problem.

I would buy another one tomorrow just to have as a back up,i f they ever go back into production. Mine has been on for nearly two years and hardly a sign of wear.

See ya
