Question on price [Archive]

I found a beautiful 1995 nissan 300zx twin turbo Steve Millen edition #18 of 300, the owner upgraded the engine and the car has only 20,000 miles on it. How much do you think a car like this would cost?? The owner is looking for $40,000 and I think thats a little to much for that car.

Depends on what you mean by "upgraded" I suppose but 40K does sound a bit high.

Wouldn't the car be worth more if it was original since it is a special edition?

I don't know if I would pay out $40k for it, but would need to see it.

I would expect the value to go down, because it isn't all original, but $25,000 seems reasonable to me, $40,000 seems STEEP
