View Full Version : 2003 350Z Driver Window Problem
I have a 2003 350Z and the driver window is in the up position and will not work at all. The passenger window works fine. When I open the door on the driver side, the window doesn't lower itself the few inches it normally does when it is working to allow the door to close correctly and then going back up. The power switch to raise / lower the driver window gets no response from the window function. Does anybody know the cause of this problem? Is it a fuse / electrical problem or a mechanical problem? I cannot find a fuse designated for the windows so I cannot trouble shoot that aspect. If anybody knows what is needed to correct this problem, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

it is the window motor, some get away with resetting it but eventually it fails completely.
You can probably get it to go down, by hitting the door panel as you activate the switch

This is a fairly common problem with the 03's. Like Westpak said, looks like a bad motor.

i've had this problem intermittently for the past 3 odd years on both sides
however, it miraculously fixes itself (ususally by the next day) and then seems to work very well for a long time
still haven't replaced anything

On our 03, we had the problem on the passenger side as well. We fixed it once, but did not get around to fixing it the 2nd time before the car was totaled.
