First GT-R sighting

It was too quick an encounter to grab a picture, but I saw a Super Black one coming opposite my direction on White Chapel Road in Southlake. Sweet car. The guy at the wheel looked totally jacked. I'd suppose I would be, too... :cool18:

There was a silver one rolling around in Sandy Springs by the river a week or so ago. Hardly noticed it before it was gone, not that it was going fast, it was just totally unexpected.

I'm definitely not a baller, but I have some baller neighbors. We live in the 'hood part of town. But that doesn't stop me from pissing off the locals by parking my Sentra next to their F430 at the Tom Thumb.

LOL!!! Nothing wrong with representin' in a Sentra SE-R.:biggthump My daily driver is an 04' standard SE-R in Volcanic Orange, in some ways it's more fun to drive than my Z.

These are the real-deal. NAGTROC has been a fun site to follow. Not the same energy level on the preorder side as we had back in 2002, but it's pretty close.

I just watched this week's Motorweek episode, and they stated that next week's show will include the GT-R!!

Yep, slowly they're being delivered. Most of the ones being delivered now have been sitting in the ports since mid-June. Deliveries have been delayed first due to dealer certification delays (some are not yet certified), and then transport issues. Not all car haulers can transport them, so lately there has only been one per truck -- in the spot shown in the photo. Loading and unloading is supervised by a contracted third party. Some of the early deliveries were damaged in transport. Basically, NNA has mucked up the rollout of Nissan's "supercar" completely since pre-orders began on 2/1/08.

I'm sure glad mine was not in this first batch. Hopefully, by the time mine shows up NNA will have it all figured out.

A guy in Houston took delivery on a Friday evening and was running Texas World Speedway in Aggieland Saturday morning. He says he took it easy, but on one of the later laps in his video, he was going -- blew by a Porsche like it was standing still and hit about 145 on the front straight. He's going from an S2000 to the GT-R, so you know he's a happy camper with the GT-R's track performance.
