Thought that I would just drop in and say hey and that I'm new to this forum. I have a 2003 Nissan 350Z Touring. It is in prestine condition now with only 18,000 miles on it. I got it in November 2007, and it only had 5,000 miles on it when I got it from the original owner! It was and will always be the first 350Z to ever be in Knoxviile,TN. It is completely loaded, and I have added the NISMO exhaust, NISMO black alluminum shift knob, and 15% tint. She has in excess of 55 plus coats of Zaino wax, so it shines like no other white Z on the planet.

Welcome to the Zaino'ed Z club! I see that you are a Golden Member (50+layers).

Now, you do realize that you can only count layers of Z-2 or Z-5 right?

Only ROOKIES would ever include Z-6 or Z-8 in their layer counts! :)

Seriously, I had the opportunity to Zaino a white Z at ZDayz about 3 years ago in one of my demos there, and it was surprisingly very nice. I didn't think Zaino would make the white "pop" like it does with the darker colors but if you look really close up, there are these almost metallic multicolored flecks deep in the white that really allowed the Zaino to do it's thing.

Let me know when you get to the Diamond level (75 layers) and I will be waiting as the only member of the CENTURY club! :D

Enjoy the site.

Oh, and P.S....... Never call Zaino a "wax". Sal would be very dissapointed! It is of course, a polymer sealant! :)

Yea I have around 50 coats of the Z-2, a few mixed with Z-FX, and about 10 Z-CS.

Yea I hear what your saying. So the jwt does put out some good sound? I m sure it will sound pretty similar on my z.

intake would give you somewhat different sound from your engine bay......power, maybe but it would not be noticeable for the $$ you spent.......so looking for similar sound with your z doesn't make sense imo.........

as for sound, i think it wold be subjective.....I, for example, prefer my Injen CAI......if you want power, go with plenum/spacers

I meant that the sound she gets on her G, with the jwt, would be similar if not the same with what I will get on my Z.

Have you heard the NISMO intake? Any opinions on it?

should be similar since both have same engine.....
I'm assuming you are talking about the Nismo CAI? I have never heard of it in person thou...... If you want CAI, I suggest you go with Injen....... that what i went with......it gives the best whp and good hissin 'ererererer' sound........

Can the Injen be converted to a SRI? Because I dont like were the filter is placed with that unit. If so does it have a heat shield like the jwt does?

I think Injen also sells short ram intake.......I dont like the idea of SRI since I don't like the idea of sucking hot water from the engine bay........ as for the jwt heat shield, it doesn't really do anything to prevent it from sucking the heat air.......I can be mistaken here but if i remember correctly, I think you might actually lost more power as your engine gets warmer......

I will look into to the Injen SRI, but it sounds like I m just gonna go with the NISMO. Only because of the filter placement and the hydrolock prevention. Thanks for your help.

I understand your concern bout the hydrolock ...... but let me put it this way, I had my Injen CAI for 2 years which experienced heavy rain with no porblem....... unless you run your car through flood/pond, you shouldnt have any problem with CAI.........
INismo is just a rebadged AEM CAI..... so if you really want Nismo without Nismo sticker, you would be better off with AEM instead....JMHO
