Ultimate Brake Debaet
Ok, now that I have a few track days under my belt, I am looking towards the next big upgrade: Big Brakes. So, what I whant to know is... which ones are the best? AP, Stop Tech, Brembo, etc. Secondly, which pads to use.
Those of U who have been on the track I value you input.

I have a Track, The Brembo's have really good stopping power, but am looking to get the Greenstuff pads to try and eliminate some of this brake dust...I haven't really done much track time so not sure about any brake fade resulting from the increased temp, but if I do I would eventually like to change out the rotors to slotted rotors...

I have been using the stock brembos, with Pagit pads. (Track Rated) Really great on the track, noisey on the street. I am going to install SS brake lines ASAP. You just got to do it if your running high speeds. I am also thinking of swithching out rotors to SLOTTED. I have had several conversation with people who race Z's and have highly reccomended against going to drilled rotors as they tend to crack under streess and heat!
Let me know what your decision is!

I have an Enthusiast with 13.1 Stoptechs, and I've been running Carbotech Panther +'s all around with good results, even at Blackhawk.
With the sticky tires you have, I'd suggest Stoptechs 14" 4 wheel kit. A friend you'll meet at the Farm has them and he runs Hoosiers. I'm putting his rear Track brakes on my Z tomorrow!!!!
I like your avatar! Turn 14!
My scanner is down, still, but.........

Yes it is... Wa Hoo! If your interested there is an October date comming up! www.speedseekers.com. I'll Be there. Have fun on the 5th at BHF with the PCA, I'll be there on the 12th with them.
I really like the idea of having the 14" brakes in the front! The stock Brembos already have a nice bite, as long as you have good pads and Motul 600 BF. Otherwise I just think your fooling yourself out on the track. It's the $2600 I am wresteling with. AP 6 piston or Stop Tech 14's w/ 4 pistons. Maybe just slotted rotors for now...
Hey I gotta save for for your harness bar!

If you have the brembos.. keep them some of the best calipers out there... unless you jsut want larger for looks keep the system...
A local company here in Atlanta is going to do some R&D to design larger rotors for the brembo set up also the brackets to move the calipers out... The rotors will have seprate hats and be sloted.. all of this will fit under the stock Rays rim
